| Description |
English: Mill House, Swanton Hill, Swanton Abbott A towermill used to be located here: built around 1845, it was four storeys high, with four double shuttered sails and a dome-shaped cap and an eight-bladed fan. The sails powered two pairs of stones and a flour mill. In times of low wind a portable steam engine, housed in a shed, provided additional power. No traces remain. |
