Summary[edit]

Description
English: Gildehallen, a reconstruction of a large Viking Age feast/banquet/party hall inspired by medieval Scandinavian architecture as well as archaeological finds, crafts and design from the time period. The Viking hall was built in 2013 as part of the Midgard Vikingsenter, a Viking Age visitor and educational centre near the Borre burial mounds by the Oslo Fjord in Horten, Norway. Photo showing the hall building with wood carvings and wood shingle (roof tiles) in the camp area (a "Viking village").
