Summary[edit]

Description
English: Genome annotations of Polinton-like viruses (PLVs) and virophages. PLV and new virophage representatives from seven of the major virus groups are displayed. The VC_34 virophage represents a new virus cluster (n = 12) of which all members possess a Cas4-like nuclease. PLV_GKS2643 was ungrouped, but represented the most abundant PLV in Gossenkӧllesee, Austria. Gossevirus, GKS2, and GKS3 are PLV clades found in the study.
