Description
Italiano: Prima edizione completa delle opere del Metastasio.

Celebre figurato del Settecento, impreziosito da 37 figure intagliate da valenti artisti. Come cita Gamba: “Tra le infinite edizioni dei Drammi del Metastasio questa è nobilissima...”

Impostata con l’assistenza di Giuseppe Pezzana, ebbe l’approvazione dell’immortale poeta. In Vienna si pubblicarono le “Opere postume” nel 1795 e ne furono tirati esemplari nella forma in-quarto, per poterli accompagnare a quelli dell’edizione della vedova Hérissant.
