English: Solitary tree on the coast. Merzhanovo, Taganrog Bay, Azov Sea, Russia.
Русский: Деревья, растущие на камнях. Камни – известняк, образовавшийся около пяти-семи миллионов лет назад. На склонах побережья Азовского моря вблизи хутора Мержаново обнажаются осадочные породы верхнего миоцена (глины, пески, известняки) и плиоцена (пески, красные глины), содержащие большое количество раковин ископаемых моллюсков. Много миллионов лет назад Азовское море входило в состав древнего океана Тетис. Берег Азовского моря Таганрогского залива интересен с точки зрения геоморфологии, палеогеографии, геологии, биологии и палеонтологии. Из-за оползневых процессов древние породы и плиты выносятся на побережье. Как минимум 15 миллионов лет развития планеты Земля прямо перед глазами. Таганрогский залив, Азовское море, Россия. |
