Medieval purse frame
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy purse frame, London Museum Medieval Catalogue 1940 Type B1. The purse has a broken loop at the top which would have attached to the purse bar. The frame has a flat inner which has a two sets holes (one and then three further along) to which the bag would have been sown. The outer part of the frame is curved and decorated with rows of nielo double lined 'X's. A complete example is recorded on the PAS database as HAMP695
