Medieval copper alloy purse frame fragment
Description
English: Fragment of a copper alloy purse frame. Overall length 59mm, diameter 5mm. Weight 7.80g. The frame is curved and is sub-circular in cross-section. At the apex of the curve is an attachment hole and at each end of the fragment a break has occurred mid-way through an attachment hole. Each of these attachment holes are of equal distance (26mm) from the complete attachment hole mid way along the length of the fragment, at the apex. The break at each end appear to be very old. There are small patches of a dark green patina.
