Description
English: March 1871 advertisement for the McNairy and Claflen Manufacturing Company, which appeared in the American Railroad Journal. The company was a noted builder of bridges and railroad rolling stock. The firm constructed the double-track swing Carter Road Railroad Bridge in 1874. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers called this bridge one of the 26 most important bridges in the greater Cleveland area in 1890.
