Description
Italiano: Nel 1832 Giuseppe Médail, commissario di dogana, ebbe l’idea di realizzare un collegamento ferroviario, presentando, alcuni anni dopo nel 1840, un progetto a Carlo Alberto, nel quale descriveva un tunnel ferroviario sotto il colle del Frejus, tra Bardonecchia e Modane. Sempre nello stesso anno un ministro di Carlo Alberto, Des Ambrois, riprendendo l’idea, commissionò gli studi preliminari all’ingegnere belga Jean Marie Henri Maus, il quale, nel 1850 stampò il presente rapporto sia in lingua italiana che francese.
