Description
English: Polyphemus (Auguste Rodian, after 1888). Maryhill Museum of Art, Maryhill, Washington, U.S. This sculpture was originally intended to portray Polyphemus jealously observing Galatea in the arms of Acis. Ultimately (without Galatea or Acis) it made its way into the upper right panel of the "Gate of Hell" ("La Porte de l'enfer").
