Summary[edit]

This is a re-upload of the original gif image uploaded by another user (here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Map-hoang-sa.gif). Reason for this re-upload is to conform with Wikipedia policies discouraging the use of patented, non-free file formats, including .gif, unless if absolutely necessary (in this case, gif is only allowed in animated images, not a still image like a map). Reupload as a png file addresses the non-free file format issue. See Commons:File types. The ONLY change between the original version (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Map-hoang-sa.gif) and this version, is change of file format. ALL OTHER ATTRIBUTES, INCLUDING LICENSES, SOURCES, AND AUTHOR REMAINS THE SAME with the original gif version.

Public domain According to the Vietnamese Law on Intellectual Property (Law No. 50/2005/QH11; See translation), Article 15, Clause 2, "Legal documents, administrative documents and other documents in the judicial domain and official translations of these documents" are not subject to copyright protection.

According to the decree No. 22/2018/ND-CP of February 23, 2013, documents specified in Clause 2, Article 15 of the Intellectual Property Law includes "documents issued by state agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, sociopolitical-professional organizations, social organizations, socio-professional organizations and people’s armed forces units.".

Hence it is assumed that this legal document, administrative document or other judicial document is not covered by copyright protection
