. oz., 40c.%lb., $1.25 lb.TENNIS BALL BLACK SEEDED. A favorite forcing variety, forming a hard head. It makes but few outer leaves, and forthis reason can be planted quite closely under glass—from sixto seven inches apart. It is the variety so largely used in hot-beds, forcing pits and in greenhouses. 5c. pkt., 15c. oz., 40c. V£lb., $1.25 lb. SUNSET. A head Lettuce of splendid quality, with character-istics that commend it to all. It forms large, solid heads of arich golden yellow, a shade of color hitherto unknown in thisclass of Lettuce. 5c. pkt., 15c. oz., 40c. J£ lb., $1.25 lb.SALAMANDER. One of the best for summer use, forming good-sized compact heads. Color, light green outside and white in-side. It will remain longer in head, and stand a greater amount ofheat without burning or running to seed than any other variety. These desirable qualities have been thoroughly proven, and werecommend it to all. Inthe Southern States it isinvaluable. 5c. pkt.,15c.oz., 40c. i^ lb., $1.25 lb.

AGRANDSUMMERLETTUCE. Large, Solid, and a sureHeader. HENDERSONS NEW YORK. Is of un-usual size and solidity of head, with butlittle tendency to run to seed. We have hadit, time and again, eighteen inches in diameter, andweighing nearly four pounds, with heads almost assolid as an Early Summer Cabbage, which in generalform it somewhat resembles. The variety blanchesitself naturally, is crisp, tender and of excellent flavor, and always free from bitterness. The outside color is distinct. Itis not a forcing variety, but is one of the best for summer use everintroduced. (See cut.) 5c. pkt., 20c. oz., 50c. % lb., $1.75 lb.
