Description
English: At the entrance of the cemetery, a 1981 panel recalled :

“Cementerio de La Florida construido en 1796. En el están sepultados los 43 Patriotas fusilados por los franceses, en la Montaña del Principe Pio, en la madrugada del 3 de Mayo de 1808.”
supplemented by an additional plaque underneath : “Junta Municipal // Distrito de Moncloa // 2 Mayo 1981”

By October 2016 (shown), that lower plaque had gone.

By August 2019 (latest), the two plaques have been replaced by a single one reading the complete original text.
