Description
English: Messier 106 and NGC 4217 in Canes Venatici.

At 22-25 million lightyears distance Messier 106 is both "bright" (magnitude 9.1) and weak (at 22.7 mag/arcsec^2) Imaged with Esprit 100 f5.5 APO refractor/ Canon 6Da/ GM2000 HPS II mount. Unguided 138x240 seconds iso1600 using 150 bias frames and 35 Flat frames. This is a small crop of the full FOV. Processed in Pixinsight. Image dates: 6,7,8 and 24 jan 2017.
