English: Anti-government cartoon, published in the Romanian liberal magazine, Ghimpele. A mural-crowned Romania interrupts a government session, addressing the shocked ministers: Lacheĭ aĭ Streinuluĭ, ve hrănescŭ din sîngele meu şĭ voĭ mĕ jefuiţĭ şĭ mĕ prĕdaţĭ streinuluĭ. Fiţĭ blestemaţĭ fiĭ renegaţĭ ("Lackeys of the foreigners, my blood feeds you and you rob me and surrender me to the foreigner. A curse on you, my renegade sons").
