| Description |
English: Picture shows the former inlet and an abandoned floodgate of the mill race from river Weisseritz to the nearby roller mill. The installation will be taken away in November 2017. After the floods of 2002 and 2013 the river bank gets hard-armoured with large rocks for preventing erosion when the river becomes a torrent and for maintaining the flood conveyance capability in the V-shaped valley. When further existing, the inlet would spoil the coherence of the river bank.
Deutsch: Der Einlass des Mühlgrabens von der Roten Weißeritz zur nahegelegenen Walzenmühle und die Reste der Schleuse werden im November 2017 beseitigt. Das Flussufer wird mit großen Steinen befestigt, um bei einer Flut wie 2002 und 2013 den Flussquerschnitt zu erhalten. |
