Description |
English: Luther and the reformers. In the group with Melanchton, Cruziger, Jonas, Bugenhagen, Spalatin and Forster, Erasmus has also been included. He was too highly esteemed for his scholarly work to be excluded, in spite of his breach with Luther. The image is a detail of an epitaphium in the St Blasius church in Nordhausen. It was destroyed during worl war II. |
