Luis Edilberto Falconí Hidalgo
Poeta y escritor bolivarense nació en la ciudad de Guaranda el 14 de Julio de 1910 y falleció en la misma ciudad el 1 de septiembre de 1989. Su obra literaria la inició desde su juventud; colaboró en ”Riscos,” “Juventudes”, “Realidad Bolivarense”, “La Nación”, “El Comercio”, “Semana Gráfica”, La Revista “Temas” de Nueva York y “Páginas Culturales”. En 1958 La Matriz de la Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana ”Benjamín Carrión” publicó su novela “Así nació el Día” en número reducido, por lo cual no se hizo difusión en el ámbito literario del país y cuyo estudio e informe sobre su calidad fue realizado por el insigne novelista Demetrio Aguilera Malta. En 1981, La Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana “Benjamín Carrrión” Núcleo de Bolívar hizo la publicación de su novela corta titulada”La Casa Encantada”. En 1990, con el auspicio de la Casa de la Cultura “Benjamín Carrión” Núcleo de Bolívar, y de la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar. Se publica su novela “El Funeral de la Risa”. En Octubre de 1995, siendo presidenta de la Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Núcleo de Bolívar doña Teresa León de Noboa, se publicó ”Trinos del Alba”, poesía infantil. En 1998, En Ediciones ABYAYALA de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana de Quito, se publicó “Rondadores de la Niebla”, Poesía Indigenista. En 1981, en el Concurso Nacional de Poesía Infantil, convocado por el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura obtuvo el segundo Premio. Luis Falconí Hidalgo es el autor de la Letra del Pasillo “Azules Lejanías”, interpretado por las voces de las Hermanas Mendoza-Soasti. Es autor también de la letra del pasillo “Nupcial” interpretado por El Duo “ Estelar” conformado por Susana y Gonzalo Chimbo. En el Cuarto Congreso Mundial para el Talento de la Niñez realizado en Cuenca, su poema Luciérnaga fue musicalizado por el Profesor Mexicano, Jorge Antonio García Pérez, acompañado por la Profesora Ester Munive Morales (Voz y guitarra). Su poesía inédita se entregó al Ministerio de Educación y Cultura del Ecuador durante el actual Gobierno del Economista Rafael Correa Delgado y aún estamos en espera de su publicación.
