Title
English: Looking south on 5th Ave. and Westlake, Seattle, Washington, November 16, 1910.
Description
English: Central Business District. 5th Ave. is on the left, Westlake Ave. is on the right. Shows the Buffalo Woolen Mills fashionable tailoring .

On verso of image: "Triangle no. of Pine St. bet. Westlake and 5th Ave. 11-16-10"
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Tailor shops--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Fifth Avenue (Seattle, Wash.); Street-railroads--Washington (State)--Seattle; Buffalo Woolen Mills (Seattle, Wash.); Westlake Avenue (Seattle, Wash.); Central business districts--Washington (State)--Seattle

The pictured triangular building in this photo was completed earlier in 1910 to serve as the terminus depot for the Everett Interurban lines, whose tracks can be seen on 5th Avenue on the left. Appropriately, J.F. Everett was the architect. This building would be demolished in 1918 for a 2-story building designed by the Beezer Brothers, first occupied by the Boston Drug Co. and later Bartells. This building would stand (greatly altered) until the 1980s when the entire block was redeveloped for Westlake Center.
