Title
English: Looking north on 5th Ave. from Terrace St. showing regrade work using a steam shovel, Seattle, Washington, December 10, 1910.
Description
English: Shows Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church at right .

On verso of image: "No. on 5th Ave. from Terrace. 12-10-10"
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Catholic churches--Washington (State)--Seattle; Utility poles--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Fifth Avenue (Seattle, Wash.); Grading (Earthwork)--Washington (State)--Seattle; Streets--Washington (State)--Seattle; Steam shovels--Washington (State)--Seattle; Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church (Seattle, Wash.); Dwellings--Washington (State)--Seattle

Despite the University of Washington Library referring to "Our Lady of Good Hope" this is almost certainly the more common "Our Lady of Good Help". See for example https://pauldorpat.com/2017/03/11/seattle-now-then-our-lady-of-good-help/

Also, File:Looking north on 5th Ave from Yesler Way, Seattle, Washington, December 10, 1910 (LEE 70).jpeg and this photo are both described as December 10, 1910. It looks to me like there far more work would have taken place between the two photos than can possibly have been achieved in a single day.
