English: This is part of a bookshelf in the library of the crown prince in Castle Cecilienhof in the New Garden in Potsdam. We used the less-than-nice weather last Sunday to finally take the tours through Castle Cecilienhof, which we had planned on doing since our bike trip through the park last summer (at which time there were hordes of tourists roaming the place and we decided to just get a beer at the Meierei instead)... UPDATE: Even though there is no right to deny others to take pictures of one's property in the German law, and such a right has been denied in court in the past, the Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und Gärten (who own the castles and parks in Potsdam nowadays) has just won such a case in my hometown (article in German about the case). Therefore I'd rather not take the risk of angering these court-happy folks and their methods of selling more postcards and whatnot, and removed the offending image. Hurray for Free Speech! |
