Summary[edit]

Description
English: Library and Health Centre, Ravensthorpe. In 1850 Brick House was here; it was the largest of the few houses in the area at that time. The name Ravensthorpe was invented later in the 19C as an industrial town developed on the flat land at the confluence of the River Calder and Spen River, then called Ravens Brook and crossed by Ravens Bridge.
