English: Leygatehead Moor. Looking SW down the ridge to The Knott (SK0489) and beyond it Lantern Pike SK0288) and beyond that (to the left) Sponds Hill (SJ9780) or thereabouts. This area is trackless heather moorland managed for grouse shooting, though William Clough, a popular walking route to Kinder Scout from Hayfield, clips the southeastern corner of the square. |
