Français : Le sloop Coppelia entrant dans le Bassin des Chalutiers.

A l’ avant du Coppelia on aperçoit bien le boute-hors inclinable . Ce boute-hors (et non « bout-dehors ») est un espar servant à porter une voile hors de l’ aplomb du bateau. Le « boute-hors » ne doit pas être confondu avec le « mât de beaupré ».

Le Coppelia a été construit en 1952 par le chantier Paraveau à Marennes. Il mesure 14,10 mètres de long (hors tout) et 3,56 mètres de large. Sa coque est en bois (chêne) et il est équipé d’ un moteur de 70 CV. Il a une voilure aurique de 114 m2. Le Coppelia a été entièrement rénové de 2000 à 2003. Il a été transformé en navire de plaisance et participe à des rassemblements de bateaux anciens. En 1953, le Coppelia avait été armé à la pêche et à partir de cette date jusqu’ en 1988 il a servi de sloop ostréicole. Son propriétaire d’ alors l’ utilisait comme de bateau de charge pour se rendre sur ses parcs à huitres de l’ Île d’ Aix et de l’ Île Madame. Le Coppelia est immatriculé au quartier maritime de Marennes (MN 312649). Il fait partie du patrimoine navigant en Charente Maritime.
