Description
English: Late medieval or post Medieval copper alloy purse frame, 47mm long, 38mm wide and 16mm thick with a weight of 33.20grams. The object consists of a central spherical fitting which has a circular cross sectioned shaft emerging from one side (the matching one is missing). This central part has a circular hole running through its centre vertically. This houses a second circular cross-sectioned shaft which terminates in an rounded knop. its upper section steps out slightly and forms a short shaft, which merges into a lower semi-circular, circular cross-sectioned, fitting. This is probably an incomplete suspension loop.
