Nederlands: Kralensnoer bestaande uit 101 ronde, ring- en schijfvormige barnstenen kralen. De grootste kralen in het midden. Het kralensnoer maakt deel uit van de grafvondst van de ‘Prinses van Zweeloo’. In het midden van de vijfde eeuw na Chr. werd vlak ten zuiden van het oude Drentse dorp Zweeloo een vooraanstaande vrouw begraven. Haar graf werd in 1952 ontdekt. Op basis van textielresten en sieraden kon een reconstructie van haar kleding worden gemaakt. Om haar nek droeg ze een snoer van barnstenen kralen. Nooit eerder is in Nederland zo’n grote hoeveelheid barnsteen gevonden. |
