Description
English: The Crac des Chevaliers near Homs in Syria was built by the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem from 1142 to 1271. With further construction by the Mamluks in the late 13th century, it ranks among the best-preserved examples of the Crusader castles.
العربية: قلعة الحصن التي تقع بالقرب من مدينة حمص في سوريا تم تشييدها كحصن صغير من قبل المرداسيون عام 1031 ثم قام فرسان القديس يوحنا المعروفون بالإسبتارية ببناء القلعة بشكلها الحالي بين عامي 1142 و1271 ضمن فترة الحروب الصليبية. تمت إضافة منشآت إلى القلعة خلال حكم المماليك لسوريا نهاية القرن الثالث عشر ميلادي، وتعتبر القلعة واحدة من بين أفضل القلاع الصليبية التي لا تزال محفوظة بشكل جيد حتى يومنا هنذا.
