English: Platform end scene at King's Cross, with B1 4-6-0. Still in LNER livery in May 1948, Thompson B1 4-6-0 No. 1027 'Madoqua' - one of the few named (built 5/47, with drawn 9/62) is backing out, probably to go into the 'Bottom' Locomotive Yard seen behind. Note the prominent structure carrying cables to/from the Signalbox, which is just off to the left. |
