Description

Ken McDonald. . Kenneth McDonald entered his initial military service with the United States Marine Corps in June, 1992. During his military career he has also served in the Tennessee Army National Guard, the Ohio Army National Guard, the United States Coast Guard Reserve, and the Tennessee Air National Guard. Trained initially as an infantryman, he has additionally served as a combat engineer, human intelligence collector (Arabic), marine science technician, and air transportation specialist. He currently serves in the Tennessee Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 181st Field Artillery as a HIMARS crewman. . . Over the course of his career he has served in the United States after 9-11 during Operation Noble Eagle and on numerous deployments to countries such as Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Somalia, Cuba, Japan, and Kosovo. He assumed his present duties as a Fish and Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Tennessee Ecological Services Office in Cookeville, TN in February, 2012. . .

McDonald’s professional awards include: the Joint Meritorious Unit Award; two Army Reserve Components Achievement Medals; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal; two National Defense Service Medals; the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Kosovo Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Armed Forces Service Medal; Humanitarian Service Medal; two Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbons; the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Mobilization device; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; United Nations Medal; NATO medal; and Tennessee National Guard Commendation Ribbon.
