Description
Nederlands: De keersluis is een constructie voor de afsluiting van twee doorstroomopeningen tussen de Diem en het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal. De constructie bestaat uit twee witgeschilderde gewapend betonnen sluisdoorgangen en heftorens waartussen twee stalen hefdeuren verticaal worden bewogen. Het geheel is gefundeerd op een betonnen roosterwerk (21,4 x 12,7 m) met daarop betonnen palen (gestort) en bevindt zich aan de kanaalzijde.

De heftorens met een totale hoogte van acht meter bestaan uit twee zijtorens en een dubbelbrede middentoren die door een bovenligger zijn gekoppeld. De middentoren bevat voor onderhoud een deur en inwendige ladder. De zijtorens zijn middels een weggenomen ladder via een balkon begaanbaar.

De sluiswanden zijn aan de Diemerzijde voorzien van een schotbalksponning voor het permanent sluiten van de keersluis in noodgevallen. De daartoe benodigde houten schotbalken (grenenhout; 12 stuks) zijn onder een losse houten kap opgelegd over het zuidoostelijk sluishoofd.
