Summary[edit]

Description
English: Jolly Waterman pub (site of). 51, Rotherhithe Street, London, SE16 A three storied but narrow pub practically opposite Braddon Street, just up from Fulford Street. First recorded in 1827 although before that it was believed to have been the "Bunch of Grapes" - I do not know when that was first recorded. Destroyed during WWII. The plinth is a Coronation Memorial and has 1952 EIIR 1977 on the river side and 1952 EIIR 2002 facing the camera. In the distance on the north bank is the Metropolitan River Police Station at Wapping. A few yards to the left stood the 'Little Midshipman' pub.
