Description
English: "Longitude West from Washington" at the bottom of map, with longitude 0 equal to longitude 77. Captions under illustrations in upper and lower case. Includes ill.: "University of Virginia," "Dismal Swamp," and "City of Baltimore." Plates 29-30. Relief shown by hachures. Depths shown by isolines. Shows counties, railroads, and includes the counties in Virginia which became West Virginia in 1863. This item is in the Map Collection of the Library of Virginia; please contact the Library's Archives Research Services department for more information. Available also through the Library of Congress web site as raster image. Jan. 2003, L.S. Straight, bc (1969), Map Cataloging Team. Civil War Map Proj. no.: lva00077.
