Description
English: John Baptist church in Kharkov. 1845-1857. Andrey Ton. Original photo - 6,85 mb.
Русский: Харьков, Нагорный исторический район, Киевский административный район. Вид с отметки +95 м 29 марта 2008 года от Шатиловки в сторону Ближней Журавлёвки.
Бело-голубой (после перекраски середины 2000-х годов) православный храм Усекновения Главы Иоанна Предтечи в нынешнем Молодёжном парке (б. Иоанновское кладбище), май 1845-1857, архитектор Андрей Андреевич Тон, русско-византийский стиль. Справа видна вертикальная лестница к куполу храма. Верх храма уже перекрашен из тёмно-красного в голубой цвет.
Обзор закрывает обложенный плиткой 8-(по Чернышевского), 9-(по Маяковского), 11-(центральная часть)-этажный жилой дом по ул. Чернышевской, 85 (бывший магазин "Академкнига", в 2000-2008 годах магазин "Альцест"), построенный в начале 1970-х годов.
Слева за этим зданием видна тыльная неоштукатуренная часть с дымовой трубой на крыше 4-хэтажного Киевского райотдела милиции по ул. Артёма, 49 (начало 1950-х).
Справа за храмом серые 5-тиэтажные здания по ул. Пушкинской, 79/1 - студенческий городок "Гигант", 1930-е.
Высотные жилые здания за Молодёжным парком - ул. Пушкинская, дом 98 - фигурно-кирпичное бежевое 1985/1987 годов (еле видно, справа) и светло-жёлтый дом 96 - ок. 2004 г. (в центре, длинное, во дворе), 2006-2008 годов.
Далеко внизу под горой на горизонте видны частные одноэтажные домики Ближней Журавлёвки.
