Surviving is his widow, Elizabeth. Funeral services were set for today in Los Angeles. Mr. Schlumpf was elected to the City Council March 11, 1910, and served one one-year term. He was elected from the old Third Ward, the East Capitol Hill District. Working a number of years as a cigar salesman, Mr. Schlumpf later opened and operated a cigar store in the old Butler Hotel.
