Description
This painting is based on a traditional Danish poem. Ulver had plans to murder Vænelil, but she managed to lure his sword from him, and then killed him instead. The experts at Bruun Rasmussen also stated that there is a larger version (84 x 58 cm) of this painting at the Skovgaard Museum in Viborg, Denmark.
