Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen informed us of a text on the verso that described the steamship as the Royal yacht Slesvig. That text is highly dubious, as the Slesvig only had one funnel. The next royal yacht, Dannebrog looked like the vessel in the painting, but she was built in 1879, so the dates do not fit.
