Public domain

The author died in 1941, so this work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 80 years or fewer.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 80 years: Mexico has 100 years and Jamaica has 95 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term.

Description
English: This statue has a similar theme to Edward Onslow Ford's The Singer , and it was exhibited exactly halfway between The Singer and Applause . I don't know if the two sculptors were aware of each others' work, but it would be interesting if there was an influence. I've only ever managed to find the one contemporary photo, believed to be public domain due to its age, to which I've applied my usual cleanups. It's possible the statue may no longer exist, which would be a shame.
