Description
English: Another remastered vintage public domain photo of a work by Itasse. From what I've been able to find out, she was the daughter of sculptor Adolphe Itasse, following in her father's footsteps. I'm not sure whether she executed this steamy nude just because she knew it would be popular with buyers, or because female bodies were popular with her.

I've now found a modern photo of the statue at the Musee d'Orsay. As I've mentioned, the Orsay no longer allows visitor photography, so good luck finding any other views.
