Description
Deutsch: Nordwestseite vom Bf Retiro Mitre, rechts dahinter das Hotel Sheraton. Der Turm wurde von Großbritannien bis 1806 als Gedenksäule zur Hundertjahrfeier der Mairevolution gebaut und hieß deswegen auch Torre de los Ingleses. Nach dem Falklandkrieg wurde er in »Torre Monumental« umgetauft, doch ansonsten nicht verändert. Die britischen Wappen mit Löwe, Einhorn und Hosenbandorden blieben erhalten.
