Yet, Brian had timeto seize his arms, and died sword in hand. The Irish accountssay that the king killed Brodar, and was only overcome bynumbers; but the Danish version in the Niala Saga is moreprobable, and in this Brodar is represented as holding up hisreeking sword, and crying: Let it be proclaimed from manto man that Brian has been slain by Brodar.
