Description |
Nederlands: Inro met netsuke en ojime. De vijfdelige inro is gedecoreerd met kalebasplanten in takamakie op een met goud besprenkelde ondergrond; de kalebassen (gedeeltelijk in zilver) en een hek (in parelmoer) zijn ingelegd. De netsuke is gedecoreerd met een phoenix; de ojime is gesneden tot een klein jongetje dat naar de maan kijkt. (de netsuke en ojime zijn later toegevoegd)
Label Line: Japan, 18de eeuw, hout, lak, ivoor, goud, zilver
English: Inro with netsuke and ojime. The five-part inro is decorated with gourd plants in takamakie on a surface sprinkled with gold; the gourds (partly in silver) and a gate (in pearl) are inlaid. The netsuke is decorated with a phoenix; the ojime is cut to a little boy who looks at the moon. (The netsuke and ojime added later) |
