{{|Front engined 8.5 m <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikarus_Bus" rel="nofollow">Ikarus</a> vehicles like these were out of service with DDR Kraftverkehrbetriebe / bus operators by this time, as indeed were the beloved and subsequent rear engined 55 (coach) or 66 (bus) "Hungarian rocket" . I think this one was for staff transport at one of the lime works in the Harz. DDR H- registration for Bezirk Magdeburg until the end of 1991 when the West German system was established.

There has been some discussion in <a href="http://ikarusbus.siteboard.eu/f58t2860-ikarus-31-ruebeland-1990.html" rel="nofollow">this forum</a> about this and other similar buses. It seems it was not in service with Trolltenier of Elbingerode. The registration ought to identify it.}}
