Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Idridgehay Station Idridgehay is a small village on the railway line between Duffield and Wirksworth. The railway line through the village opened in 1867, but closed for passenger service in 1948. Freight traffic from the quarries to the north of Wirksworth continued into the 1980s before the line closed completely. The station has been refurbished over the past few years and brought back to use by the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway association.
