Description
English: Much of the Italian island/province of Sicily is visible in this nighttime nadir image photographed from 221 nautical miles above Earth by one of the Expedition 40 crew members aboard the International Space Station. The tip of the "toe" of Italy's "boot" is barely visible in the upper right corner.
