DescriptionIBM hermaphroditic connector.JPG | Typical connector used in IBM structured cabling, which was used for Token Ring networks. Unlike almost all other electrical connectors, there are no male and female versions of the connector, two identical connectors can be coupled together. This one is on a drop cable (i.e PC to wall socket). After coupling the connector, the white plastic piece can optionally be inserted to completely lock the connection. | ||||||||
