Description
English: Maj. Gen. Charles L. Hudson prepares to sign the Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month Proclamation drafted by the Family Advocacy Program March 25 at Building 1 on Camp Foster. The proclamation “calls upon all community members, advocacy and treatment agencies, religious organizations, law enforcement agencies, and medical facilities to increase their participation in efforts to prevent child abuse, thereby strengthening the community in which we live.” Over the past four decades, the federal government improved identification and treatment programs to help abused children as well as increased awareness and prevention to save children from possible abuse. For more information, contact the Family Advocacy Program office on Camp Foster at 645-2915 or visit their website at http://www.mccsokinawa.com/prevention_briefs/. Hudson is the commanding general of Marine Corps Installations Pacific, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
