English: Horsa gliders towed by C-47 over Utah Beach, on which we see reinforcements for the 82nd Airborne. This allows us to date the photo to June 7, 1944

Des planeurs Horsa remorqués par des C-47 survolent Utah Beach par-dessus laquelle furent amenés les renforts pour la 82nd Airborne par planeurs. Ceci permet de dater la photographie au 7 juin 1944 (date de ces missions) pour LZ "W" : Les Forges -Galveston (arrivée sur LZ à 07h00 le 7 juin de 18 Horsa) -et Hackensack (arrivée sur LZ à 09h00 le 7 juin de 25 Horsa) Au premier plan, on devine, trois MP (Military Police) reconnaissables à leur casque avec la bande blanche ou jaune, dont un sous-officier (trait horizontal blanc à l'arrière du casque). www.flickr.com/photos/mlq/3041272228/ Autre vue la p012950 en plan plus serré et avec un meilleur éclairage: www.flickr.com/search/?w=58897785@N00&q=p012950%20or%...
