Summary[edit]

Description
English: Inscription above the doorway of the Brüggemann Funerary Chapel in Hopsten, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building, situated on the street Auf der Leuchtenburg, dates from 1705. Errected by Anton Tolner Gerhardt Kümpers Johan Kümpers and Lucas Kümpers (as the inscription states), at first it served as a „normal“ chapel. In 1846 it was converted into the burial place of Theodor Lucas Brüggemann, a merchant from Hopsten. Since 1986 the chapel is a listed cultural heritage monument.
This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Hopsten, no. 22.
