Notes
English: Image depicts a standing nude male figure viewed from behind, crown on his head, brandishing a bident in his right hand, left arm stretched backwards; a jar with several spouts issuing liquid lies behind his right foot. Interpretation sourced from the Art Gallery of New South Wales : from the jar at right are spilling the five rivers of the underworld; the background shows flames, lost souls before three judges. [1] Interpretation sourced from the British Museum: the urn spouts depict four mouths of the rivers Acheron, Cocytus, Phlegethon and Styx; the souls are processing before the judges Aeacu, Minos and Rhadamanthys.
