Description
Nederlands: Opschrift in het latijn, behorend bij de heruitgave van na 1642 van de prent van Jan Hendricksz. Verstralen (oorspronkelijk uitgegeven in 1625) naar een ontwerptekening van Joost Cornelisz. Droochsloot uit 1624 (nr. 28372-28375). De beschrijving is waarschijnlijk van de hand van A. van Buchel. De prent is in of na 1641 opnieuw uitgeven door François van den Hoeye en na 1642 door Clement de Jonghe (T.A. Ba 33). (Zie verder onder Annotaties). Hierbij is de tekst opnieuw uitgegeven (nrs. 28379-28381) en de prent werd voorzien van een opschrift in kapitalen dat in de HUA-collectie aanwezig is als een ongesneden tekstblad (nr. 28382). De tekst luidt: "ANTIQUISS. ET CELEBERRIMAE INF. GERM. URBIS ULTRAIECTI NOVA EFFIGIES AD VIVUM EXPRESSA." Het profiel heeft vermoedelijk model gestaan voor Droochsloots schilderij uit ca. 1665 (nr.36190).
